When you define your product strategy in the future, one key preparation is to classify each product nature in terms of product and market types. Usually 4 different types according to Ansoff Matrix are called (by Box name below):

BOX A (Market Penetration) - it targets for existing product and market.

BOX B (Market Development) - it targets for existing product but new market.

BOX C (Product Development) - it targets for new product but existing market.

BOX D (Diversification) - it targets for new product and market.
